Attention All JCDPU Customers:

  • March 2021 - Help with past-due utility bills available through UniteCT

    This State of Connecticut program provides rental and utility payment assistance to qualified Connecticut households financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • The Jewett City DPU will allow the public in the office again starting June 22, 2020.

    The office will allow one customer at a time to enter and be served. All those entering the office must wear a protective face covering.

  • Please do not enter the office if you or someone you have had contact with is sick.
  • The office staff will be wearing masks and has implemented good hygiene and infection practices including regular sanitization of frequently touched surfaces. Employees have been encouraged to practice frequent hand washing/sanitizing, respiratory etiquette and to stay at home if they or someone they have come in contact with is sick.
  • The Jewett City DPU will resume normal collection practices (including cutoffs) beginning Oct 1, 2020. Payment arrangements can be made on past due balances. We encourage you to contact the office now to set that up.

To start a new service a customer must complete and submit a commercial or residential application and pay a meter deposit based on the following:

Commercial 3 Phase $100 Min.
Lighting Only (Oil/Propane Heat) $75.00
